Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CareerHiKe mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility & your account
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account.
The Service
CareerHiKe helps you prepare for interviews and grow your career using AI-assisted analysis of resumes and job descriptions, resume-to-job matching, AI-generated mock interviews and scoring, live AI voice coaching, career planning and learning content. Some features are offered at no cost ("Free") and others as part of a paid plan ("Premium").
Subscriptions & billing
Premium is a paid subscription. Its price, billing period and included features are shown to you before you purchase. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled before the renewal date. Purchases made through a mobile app store are also subject to that store's terms and are billed by the store.
Premium includes two separate allowances, refreshed each billing period: AI Credits, which most AI features draw on, and Coach Credits, which are used only by the AI voice coaches. They are different currencies and cannot be exchanged for one another. Neither is sold separately — both are available only as part of Premium. Every credit belongs to the billing period it was granted in and expires at the end of that period, whatever its source. Credits do not roll over. The Free plan includes no AI Credits or Coach Credits. The cost of an action is shown to you before you run it.
A coach session costs 10 Coach Credits and lasts up to five minutes. A session cannot begin unless at least 10 Coach Credits are available, and it ends automatically when the five minutes are up. Starting another session costs a further 10 Coach Credits.
Cancellation & refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future recurring payments. It does not immediately remove access — you continue to enjoy Premium until the current billing period expires.
Subscription payments are generally non-refundable once your subscription has been activated, AI resources have been consumed, or Premium services have been used. Refunds are only considered where required by applicable law, or where CareerHiKe explicitly approves an exception. Duplicate billing errors, technical payment failures, or accidental duplicate purchases may be reviewed individually. There are no prorated refunds and no partial refunds.
Money and credits are returned differently. The paragraph above concerns payments. Separately, if an AI action or a coach session fails or is interrupted before it delivers a result, the credits it reserved are returned to your current period’s balance, automatically and without a request, and expire with that period like any other credit. A credit return is not a refund of money and does not change the payment terms above.
AI services & no guarantee of outcomes
Interview questions, scores, feedback, readiness estimates and coaching are generated by AI and provided for practice and guidance only. They may contain errors or omissions, may vary between attempts, and are not professional, legal, financial or career advice. The Service does not guarantee any interview result, job offer, salary or other outcome. Use your own judgement and treat AI output as one input among many.
This applies equally to the AI voice coaches, which discuss a report you already have and may misread or overstate it, and to career plans and career guidance, which are suggestions for you to weigh rather than a professional recommendation. If AI output ever seems offensive or inappropriate, tell us at support@careerhikeai.com so we can look into it.
Interview Planner and reminders
The Interview Planner records the interviews you enter and reminds you about them. What it is, and what it is not:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter — the date, the time and the time zone of your device. We remind you about the interview you scheduled; we cannot know if it was entered wrongly or later changed by the employer.
- Reminders are a convenience, NOT a guarantee. They are delivered by your device's operating system and can be delayed or suppressed by battery optimisation, Do Not Disturb, notification permissions being off, exact-alarm restrictions, or the device being off. Do not rely on them as your only way of remembering an interview.
- Recording an outcome — attended, missed, cancelled or rescheduled — is yours to do. We do not decide what happened, and an interview whose time has passed stays marked as awaiting your review until you tell us, rather than being closed or deleted automatically.
- The Planner is a personal record. It does not contact employers, confirm attendance, or communicate with anyone on your behalf.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to harass, defraud or harm others, or to violate any law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
- Resell, sublicense or misrepresent the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Interfere with security features or with other users' use of the Service.
Your content
You retain ownership of the resumes, job descriptions, interview answers and career-planning details you provide ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to submit it.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, learning content, and trademarks, is owned by CareerHiKe and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own career preparation. You may not copy, distribute or create derivative works from our content except as expressly permitted.
Service availability
We aim for high availability, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Features (including AI features that depend on third-party providers) may be changed, suspended or discontinued, and may occasionally be unavailable. We are not liable for interruptions outside our reasonable control.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerHiKe will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunities, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. On deletion we permanently remove your profile, files and interview history as described in the Privacy Policy.
Privacy
Our handling of your personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Please read it to understand what we collect and how we use and protect it.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at our registered place of business will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you. We encourage you to contact us first at support@careerhikeai.com so we can try to resolve any issue directly.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new version date; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
