How CareerHiKe approaches data protection, security and the obligations that come with holding career data.
India’s DPDP Act 2023
CareerHiKe acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data you provide. We process it on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account, and to deliver the service you asked for. Consent is recorded — the document versions you were shown, and when you accepted them — so that it can be demonstrated rather than merely asserted.
The Privacy Policy sets out every right available to you and how to exercise it.
Account deletion
Deletion is available inside the app and by email, and it removes your data from our active systems rather than hiding it. Full detail, including the narrow set of records that may be retained, is on the Delete Account page.
Security
- Encryption in transit for all traffic between the app and our servers.
- Per-user isolation enforced at the database layer, not only in application code.
- No social, community or messaging features — there is no surface on which one user can see another’s data.
- Encrypted backups on a fixed retention cycle, never used to restore a deleted account.
No system is perfectly secure. We take reasonable safeguards seriously and review them regularly.
How we describe our AI
Interview questions, scores, feedback, readiness estimates and coaching are generated by AI and provided for practice and guidance only. They may contain errors, may vary between attempts, and are not professional, legal, financial or career advice. CareerHiKe does not guarantee any interview result, job offer, salary or other outcome. The same applies to our AI voice coaches and to career plans and career guidance. If AI output ever seems offensive or inappropriate, tell us at support@careerhikeai.com and we will look into it.
Text-based AI features — resume and job-description analysis, matching, mock interviews, scoring and career planning — are processed by trusted AI service providers acting on our instructions. Only the content needed for the specific request is sent.
The AI voice coaches are live spoken conversations, processed by Google AI services acting as our processor under a paid agreement that does not permit the content to be used to improve their products. A summary of the report under discussion — a resume analysis, a job-description analysis, a resume-to-job match report, or a career plan — is sent as grounding, and can include excerpts drawn from the material it was built from. CareerHiKe does not retain the audio or a transcript. Google's abuse-monitoring policy retains prompts, contextual information and outputs for up to 55 days to detect misuse. Children
CareerHiKe is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
